Dear Family and Friends,

We are filled with immense joy and determination to share that we have been nominated as candidates for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, participating in the 2025 Student Visionary of the Year Campaign. This seven-week campaign, running from January 16th to March 8th, 2025, is a mission close to both of our hearts. Our goal is to raise $250,000. To put that into perspective: if 500 people donated $500, if 1,000 people donated $250, if 2,500 people donated $100, or if 25,000 people donated $10, we’d reach our goal!

Together with our amazing team, we are dedicated to raising awareness and funds to help eradicate blood cancers. This cause is personal for both of us.

Hannah’s mother, Amy Caryn (Eisner) Russell, bravely battled Acute Myeloid Leukemia for five years before passing away four years ago. Her strength and love never wavered, even as she endured 13 medications and 28 pills a day. One of her last messages was a beautiful reminder: “Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while and leave footprints… And we are never, ever the same.” Her legacy continues to inspire Hannah to fight for a world without blood cancer so no other child has to endure the loss of their mother.

Mia’s grandfather, Andre, fought leukemia for over 15 years. The day doctors told her family, “I don’t know how much longer he has,” was devastating but lit a fire in Mia to make a difference. Her other grandfather, Wayne Rudolph, lovingly known as Woowoo, faced life’s challenges with a smile, and Mia carries his strength and joy in this mission.
